About

LIONS and LAMMS are the laboratories of Dr. Elizabeth Sklute and collaborators, wherein the difficult task of preparing, analyzing, and interpreting abiotic and biogenic nanophase minerals and amorphous materials is undertaken.

These laboratories utilize bi-directional visible and near infrared reflectance (VNIR), Fourier transform mid infrared attenuated total reflectance (FTIR ATR), Raman, and Mössbauer spectroscopies, as well as x-ray diffraction (XRD), under ambient and controlled atmospheres and temperatures.

LAMMS is currently hiring undergraduate researchers for full time summer and part time semester research opportunities

Dr. Sklute and Collaborators also offer a variety of analytical services, including VNIR, MIR, Raman, and Mössbauer Spectroscopies
